In the distant past, before the invention of Poké Balls, a powerful Pokémon named Lucario sensed a looming conflict between two armies at Oldoran Castle in Kanto. Knowing that the battle would result in no survivors, Lucario sent a warning to his master, the legendary hero Arlon. During the battle, Lucario was attacked by a violent group of Hellgar and lost his sight. Despite this, he was able to use his aura-sensing abilities to defeat them with a powerful Wave Bomb.

Faced with the threat of a devastating war, Lady Rin, the queen of Rota, was determined to die with her people. Arlon was forced to make a difficult decision. He chose to use the ultimate power of the Lucario to save the people of Rota. With the help of the mysterious Mew, Arlon and Lucario were able to restore peace to the kingdom.
